Many people are asking for a full respec. Some are asking not to have a respec.
To avoid being totally butt hurt, I suggest that you start saving your SP so when 1.8 drops and if there is no respec, you have a nice pool of SP to spend right away. I have already saved up 1.7mil SP and depending on when it drops, I will be around 3mil.
If there is a respec, no harm no foul.

Honestly, Academy should be longer and come with a 1 time respec at graduation. Would help newbros learn risk free before they hop in the meat grinder, clone after clone.
Yea, I maxed out all my Dropsuit Upgrades, I'm saving for a new proto suit, just don't know which one yet.

Remember when I gave you all some advice...? I am happy to report I currently have an unallocated pool of 4mil SP and growing, especially with this million clone challenge! I might be at 7 million by 1.8

I might be at 7 million by 1.8 The Sp refund is ONLY on dropsuits command. They makes me loss more than 10 million SP into things i will NEVER use agains on my new role "Commando". Sidearms/equipements/specific modules/ non race weapons.
I understand your frustration and hopefully you were one of the smart ones who headed my advice and have some extra SP saved up.
Try thinking of it this way, nothing is finite. You will not stay commando and in a single role FOREVER, thus the areas you spent your SP will be viable when you spread your wings and run different suits for different situations...
